Sophie Cargill graduated with a BFA in Ceramics from the University of Georgia. She seeks to make functional work that incorporates fine art into everyday routine. Sophie immortalizes the ephemera of the natural world on her pots through detailed surface decoration, and is inspired by local flora, fauna, and spiritual imagery. She works primarily with porcelain, and is always searching for new ways to turn her clean lines and attention to detail into pots that feel approachable and personal for everyday use.
